Over 70 Years Combined Experience Throughout Georgia

Appeals

If your trial has resulted in a conviction, you have the absolute right to appeal that conviction to an appellate court. On appeal, the errors in your trial must be identified, developed, argued, and briefed to the appellate court in a succinct and knowledgeable way in order to persuade the appellate court to overturn the conviction. The attorneys at Hogue Griffin, are well-versed in the law, and have a great deal of experience handling state and federal appeals, having represented clients in cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Our appellate successes include overturning convictions for murder, manslaughter, child molestation, and drug crimes.

If you, or a loved one, has recently been convicted of a crime, please contact our office for a consultation. There are deadlines for filing a motion for new trial and notice of appeal so it is important to pursue your right to an appeal soon after the verdict has become final. There is no charge for a consultation to discuss your case. And, of course, our conversations are confidential.
